Extended Care Program
The Extended Care program of Saint Veronica Catholic School was established in 1986. We provide high-quality, child care for our school families in a safe, enjoyable environment. We comply with San Mateo County Department of Health guidelines for child care.

Student Council
2024-2025
The student council consists of a number of selected students from eighth grade who qualify to assume office and act as commissioners in several areas of school activities.
Members should maintain good grades in all subject areas, conduct, and effort The role of the student council is that of leadership and responsibility.
Faculty members act as moderators who meet with the students on a regular basis and keep the faculty informed of activities.
ART
Art instruction helps children with the development of motor skills, among other skills such as inventiveness.
Imaginative activities provide a creative outlet for our learners.
Music
Our Music Program is run by Mrs. Melissa Stemler. Issa Stemler is Director of Music and Organist at St. Veronica Catholic Parish, and a freelance pianist, organist and renaissance singer. She currently plays for the Berkeley Symphony Orchestra, Danville Girls Choir and sings regularly with the professional Schola Cantorum at Mater Dolorosa and with the San Francisco Archbishop's Schola. She holds a degree in piano performance from California Polytechnic Humboldt and is currently pursuing a Masters in Sacred Music from St. Patrick's Seminary and University.

Choir
In addition to music class, grade 2 and up can join the parish children's choir. Participation in the choir will encourage their musical talents and prepare music to be sung as prayer. Practices happen on Thursdays at 3:15 pm, in the choir loft at church. "He who sings well, prays twice" -St. Augustine
Physical
Education
Our Physical Education is run through Rhythm and Moves. Please visit their website for detailed information on what the program offers.
Service
SV promotes an understanding that through service to others in the community students are also committing to serving God. They share their time and talent with others who are in need.
Spanish
Our Spanish Program is offered K-8. Our teacher focuses on tailoring classes based on stages of development for each grade, incorporating different teaching modalities such as singing, recitation, drawing art, and more.

Our Spanish Program not only teaches language skills but also fosters cultural understanding and appreciation.
Technology & STEM
Teaching our students digital literacy skills at each grade level, digital literacy skills for the 21st Century. Salesian Academy, who provides our technology teacher, also hosts maker-space classes with our students.
The Mission of the Salesian Academy
is rooted in the Spirituality of Saint John Bosco, Patron Saint of youth, teachers and apprentices.
After School Youth Faith Formation
Our Parish Faith Formation Program provides religious education to more than 200 children of our Parish who attend public school, in addition to our St. Veronica students in need of preparation for Sacraments.
