Message from the Pastor

It is my privilege and honor to welcome you to the pages of our website. We believe that St. Veronica Catholic School and Parish is a community that inspires and nourishes. Here one can embark on a journey of faith, discovery of self, learn the joy of friendship, gain knowledge, and help build and be part of a community. The possibilities are endless. St. Veronica School and Parish will inspire and nourish you at the many levels and become a welcoming spiritual home.

There are three things, I believe, we all long for in life. First, we care about our relationship with God. We realize that there is something bigger than ourselves. To make contact with that mystery is the way for us to come home to ourselves. Through spiritual activities, we strive for a connection with God – as individuals, families, school, and parish communities.

Second, we care about our connection with each other. Though many and diverse, we are one body. We come together in prayer, Mass, social events, hospitality, dinners, organizations, festivals, and sports – to encounter one another.

Third, we care about our connection with the larger world. Touch by the Spirit of Christ and encouraged by one another, we go out of our little worlds to heal and transform the world. The Second Vatican Council in ‘Gaudier et Spes’ says: “The joys and hopes, the griefs and anxieties of the people of this age, especially those who are poor or in any way afflicted, are the joys and hopes, the griefs and anxieties of the followers of Christ.”

Our Catholic School, by being an integral part of St. Veronica Parish, provides many opportunities for us to grow deeper in our relationship with God others, and the world. May the journey be filled with God’s blessings!

Your friend and Pastor,

Father Charles Puthota. Ph. D.
